Accessibility Policy
We at Digital Barriers are committed to being inclusive and accessible to all our staff and users. People are incredibly diverse, and have varying demands, some of which aren’t always obvious and apparent. This policy relates to how we make sure we provide the best possible solution to everyone who uses our products.
Doing this for all our staff ensures that we attract and retain the most talented people to contribute to the solutions we provide.
Doing this for our customers means having a laser focus on providing the most usable products to the widest possible number of users. When we are working at our best, we are making it more accessible for everyone, not just those with additional needs.
This policy is about how we make our services accessible to disabled people, removing barriers and facilitating inclusion. Accessibility can relate to every touch point of our services, including the hardware, software and processes that we provide.
We at Digital Barriers work to make sure that we keep all these considerations in mind at all times, including:
- We plan all of our solutions from the very beginning with accessibility and inclusion in mind, making any reasonable adjustments that we can.
- During every test cycle, we will assess if we are meeting our own standards and targets.
- We have automated tests running for every bit of new code created, to make sure that they follow all existing best practices for providing accessible content.
- For every release of a product after the publication of this policy, we will complete a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), that confirms our testing and adherence to a a variety of international standards, including:
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2
- Section 508 Accessibility Standards
- EU Accessibility Act
To allow users to follow our adherence, the following will be available via our support channels:
- VPAT downloads will be placed alongside all other release documentation.
- Any instances where you believe we are not meeting accessibility requirements can be reported via our live chat function or alternatively via email at support@edgevis.com.
